Axolotls are meant to be same species only. So it implies no fish or snails.
"Ok but why no sail?"
Simply because your axolotl might end up eating it and choke or get impacted with the shell. So does it worth it? I would say no of course.
"But what if I get a snail big enough so my axolotl can't eat it."
Well there is then the other risk where the snail gets stuck on your axolotl damaging his slime coat. So no still don't worth it.
As much as I love snails (because I really do love snails I think they're really cute) they would be a disaster to your tank they mate like crazy and they poo so much it's just nasty xD.
Cleaning your axolotl's tank can be tiring but it's your responsibility as an axolotl parent, don't be lazy and put this on a snail.
In conclusion, No snail (for me at least) but if you do then you know the risks.
As I always say, everything is fine until it's not, better be safe than sorry.
